60+ artists from the Sacramento area have accepted the challenge to create an art work in commemoration of The Woman in the Red Dress.  Picasso painted one!   Salvador Dali painted one!   What will the Sacramento artists create as their art??  Paintings, illustrations, drawings, watercolors, glass art, sculptures, and ceramics with a “red dress” theme, of course. Come to The Art Studios on 2nd Saturday, February 10 from 2-8 pm and be amazed!  February is Heart Health Month and Valentine’s: a perfect time for challenging artists to depict Red Dresses!  The large gallery will be filled with red dress art and the 4 connected studios will be open showing the work of the 17 resident artists.  The American Heart Association Sacramento will host a table of heart healthy tips for everyone and award some “heart warming” awards to their favorite artworks.  Expect a fun time for all.  The Art Studios, where people love to talk about art, at 1727 I Street-Sacramento 95811 down the narrow path to the left of Bambi’s Restaurant, where you can enjoy a special “red dress” cocktail and vegan tacos.
